Operation
When a coil arrives at the strapping position, the SMB-P moves from its home position to the first defined strapping position and the moveable strap guides connects through the slots in the saddle or conveyor. Strap is fed through the system and into the Strapping Unit. The strap is clamped, and the Strapping Unit is lowered towards the coil. Once the Strapping Unit has reached the coil, the Feeding Unit pulls back the surplus strap and stretches it tight around the coil. The Strapping Unit performs the seal, cuts the strap, and is raised from the coil. The moveable strap guides retracts and the machine can move to the next strapping position or back to home position.
